Review: Fearless
Lucado’s well known book is about how the Christian faith handles the debilitating forces of fear. Lucado works through many of the different sources of fear (insignificance, unworthy to God, overwhelming challenges, etc.) and speaks the Christian message into these situations in a deep and meaningful way. Lucado shows how the surprising command, “do not fear,” reaches into all areas of a Christian’s life.
This is my first experience with Max Lucado (other than a very short devotional book a number of years ago), and it was deeper and richer than I expected. Having grown used to analytic tightness and precision in writing, reading Lucado was a breathe of fresh air that gives life and inspires more than it informs. Lucado was able to hold my attention on every page as we worked through fears that effect everyone, even if we are reluctant to admit them.
